 This was the 9th section run of Old Brooklyn and was part of the South Hills micro-neighborhood. The boundary included Schaaf Road to the east and north, Broadview Road to the west, and Brookpark Road to the south.

Schaff Road is where greenhouse farming began in 1887, eventually making Old Brooklyn the "Greenhouse Capital of the United States" by the mid-20th Century. Here's more on that history. Along with Broadview Road, its also part of the Ohio & Erie Canal America Byway.

St. James Lutheran Church: Lutheran Church located on Broadview Road. They are affiliated with the Missouri Synod system which operates the largest Protestant school system in the United States.

Something Fishy: This aquatarium retailer was founded in 1991 by owner David Hale who is a breeder of award-winning African Rift Lake Cichlids and other tropical fish. The store moved to its new location on Broadview Road in 2020 which now allows for the running of over 500 tanks and about 33,000 gallons of fresh water!

Broadview Garden Apartments: Massive, pet-friendly apartment community off Broadview Road.

Capital Tool Company: Founded in 1964, this business provides various items to the automotive, aerospace and appliance industries from their 30,000 square foot facility on Brookpark Road.

Lunch Box Deli: Located next to South Hills Hardware and in a single family home, this simple little lunch spot offers up some interesting items such as gooseliver sandwiches, smokies, and bottles of craft hot/bbq sauces. 

South Hills Hardware: This classic hardware shop has serviced the neighborhood for over 60 years. Also has a greenhouse and garden center next door.

Gourdeau Park: This 4.6 acre City park features a playground area and a big open field. It received a $216,000 upgrade in 2017.
